Professor Shuze Tang, the Dean of International School, was invited to deliver a speech in English titled "Opportunities and Challenges for International Educational Exchange and Cooperation in China in the Post-Pandemic Era”. Drawing from his extensive experience and observations, Dean Tang pointed out that “no matter public or private, key or ordinary, all universities experienced a near halt in international exchange and cooperation during the four-year period of the COVID-19 pandemic.” According to Dean Tang, the post-pandemic period presented universities with a rare development opportunity, as all institutions were undergoing a "reshuffling" phase.
Based on his tenure at the International School of Jinan University and his recent two-year experience at the International School of Guangzhou Huali College, where he taught entirely in English, Dean Tang identified “concept, language, and culture” as the three major challenges in international education. In response, Guangzhou Huali College, pursuing a high-quality development strategy for the internationalization of education, decided to establish the only International School offering exclusively English-taught courses within private universities. The International School offers eight all-English-taught programs across five major disciplines including Arts, Economics, Management, Science, and Engineering. The platform is designed to attract international faculty members, draw new partners in the field of international educational exchange and cooperation, and is dedicated to creating a unique brand of Huali's all-English platform while cultivating global citizens.
