Guangzhou Huali College (Former name: Huali College, Guangdong University of Technology ) was founded in 1999 and officially established in 2001 with the approval of the Education Department of Guangdong. In 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and became one of the first independent colleges in Guangdong Province. The campus, located in Zengcheng District of Guangzhou. It covers an area of 735 mu (49 ha) and comprises 13 schools or departments including 44 undergraduate majors. There are more than 21,600 full-time undergraduates in the college. Jiangmen campus covers an area of 1300 mu (87 ha), which offers new majors such as Engineering, Health Science, Marine Biology and Ocean Engineering, etc. High quality and technical talents will be available for the development of the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is an applied college that featuring engineering and supplemented by economics, management, literature and art, Huali College has the high graduate employment rate among others.

Students Training: Huali College aims to train high quality and technical talents, has fully developed diversified types of training systems or programs. A scientific, technical integration system is well established under the practical teaching system curriculum, such as, collaboration with enterprises, integration of production and education, practical education enhancement. Off-campus internship bases are over 500 at the present, which cover all majors that our college offers. It has been formed into a foundation that base on Top 500 company worldwide, well-known enterprises and Top 50 leading industries enterprises. This off-campus base provides a perfect internship and employment platform for our students.

Achievements and Honors: since 22 years of running, the college has always positioned itself as an application-oriented university with distinctive characteristics and first-class quality, with the vision of building a "century famous university". The scale of running the college has been constantly expanded, the basic conditions for running the college have been continuously improved, the construction of disciplines and specialties and the quality of students training have been continuously improved, and more than 43,000 high-quality application-oriented students have been graduated for the society. The college quality level has been widely recognized by the society. It has successively won the honorary titles of "China's most competitive independent college", "China's top ten famous independent colleges", "Guangdong's top ten independent colleges", "National advanced collective of private education" and "Outstanding contribution award of Guangdong contemporary private colleges". The college has been on the "National Alumni Association independent college list" for five consecutive years. In 2020, it ranked 46th in the Alumni Association independent college list, and 36th in the "Top 100 list of Applied Universities (independent colleges) (2020)" released by GDI think tank, further demonstrating the social influence of the college.

To help students adapt to economic globalization and to satisfy local demands for talents with global view in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the college has established an International School that provides collaborative international programs, such as 3+1 Dual Degree Program and 2+2 Dual Degree Program etc. To enhance the level of internationalized teaching, to facilitate exchanges and communication between Chinese and foreign students, and to mitigate the English language barrier in international collaboration, the College has made the decision that since Grade 2022 all academic courses are taught in English (Guangzhou Huali College Educational Document [2022] Number 48). To support and accelerate the complementation of the vision, the College will grant priority policies in terms of strategic planning, management system, discipline construction, management service, faculty employment, buildings and equipments to International School.
