The International School of Guangzhou Huali College and the University of Auckland Forge Strategic Educational Alliance through Memorandum of Understanding
On the morning of August 1st, 2024, a momentous event unfolded as the International School of Guangzhou Huali College and the University of Auckland International College (UOAIC) convened for an online signing ceremony to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This landmark agreement signifies a shared commitment to advancing global education and cultural exchange between the two esteemed institutions.
The virtual ceremony was attended by a distinguished assembly of representatives from both sides. Prof. Shuze Tang, Dean of the International School of Guangzhou Huali College, spearheaded the delegation, accompanied by Dr. Qingqing Zhou, Vice Dean; Dr. Wenzhen Mai, Dean’s Assistant; Dr. Lin Li, Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Mr. Jian Song, Vice Dean for Admission; and Ms. Shuzhen (Angel) Kuang, Director of the Admission Office. The University of Auckland International College was represented by Mr. Julian Latimer, Head of College; Mr. Andy Jia, Regional Sales Director for China & New Zealand Onshore; and Ms. Rachel Ou, Regional Manager for South China. The ceremony was co-chaired by Ms. Rachel Ou and Dr. Qingqing Zhou.

At the opening session of the meeting, Professor Shuze Tang briefly introduced the development history of Huali College and the uniqueness of the International School, where all academic courses are taught in English. This is the only teaching model of its kind among over 700 private colleges and universities in mainland China.

Mr. Julian Latimer, the head of UOAIC, in his presentation, provided an in-depth overview of UOAIC, covering aspects such as the college profile, curriculum, teaching and learning experiences, and student services and support. He expressed his great enthusiasm for the collaboration.

At the end of the meeting agenda, the two sides formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
