On November 14th, Lincoln University College (Malaysia) and Guangzhou Huali College jointly hosted an unveiling ceremony to establish a joint master's and doctoral training base. This event marked a significant milestone in university collaboration and a major advancement in fostering international educational exchanges and partnerships.

        Following the ceremony, Dr. Edmond Koh, Vice-Chancellor of Lincoln University College, delivered an insightful lecture titled "Application Strategies for Pursuing a PhD on the International Academic Arena." The talk, held in Room 205 of the Fourth Teaching Building, was attended by a diverse audience of students and faculty.

        The lecture generated considerable interest, attracting not only students from the International School but also teachers from various faculties exploring opportunities for further studies. Beginning at 11:00 a.m., Dr. Koh expressed his gratitude to Guangzhou Huali College for their warm hospitality and provided an overview of Lincoln University College. He highlighted the university's rich history of collaboration, its strong reputation among Chinese students, and its commitment to high-quality teaching resources, a global network of academic partnerships, and a flexible curriculum. Dr.Koh emphasized that these attributes make Lincoln University College an excellent choice for Chinese students pursuing international higher education.

        To help students better prepare their application materials, Dr. Koh provided a detailed analysis of critical elements such as crafting compelling research proposals, developing thoughtful and reflective personal statements, and selecting strong recommendation letters. He also stressed the importance of identifying and engaging with potential supervisors early in the application process. Dr. Koh encouraged students to thoroughly research their prospective mentors' academic interests and mentoring styles to ensure alignment and foster productive collaboration.
